I've got a great idea for a company. It's something I could really get behind. Here goes.
Patriot Net
An opt-in botnet for US citizens. Non-profit corporation.
The botnet has three uses:
1. Peer-to-peer randomly routed encrypted darknet for US citizens and their guests.
2. "Mesh" style public Internet via the wireless routers of opted-in citizens.
3. The botnet, via a two-thirds majority vote of its members, may aid the US government in cyber warfare, as an offensive capability.
Let's roll.

Why not call it "Citizen Net"?
Patriot Net might be asking for trouble. After all, we're citizens and we have a right to privacy. It should be taken for granted that we are patriotic - after all, we live in America, and are under the umbrella of the constitution, presumably....
I want to re-validate the term "patriot" after the Orwellian naming of the abominable "Patriot Act". Also, while citizens certainly have a right to privacy, it is Patriots who sign their equipment up to be used by the US Govt as an offensive cyber weapon. :)
